Valentines Day Punch

I knew that I had seen alot of Valentines Day Punch recipes in my dads recipe collection, so I went digging through the box of newspaper clipped recipes and pages torn out of magazines as well as hand written on scrapes of paper and EUREKA! I found over 25 red punch recipes here a 3 to choose from for your special love day! Enjoy. Be sure to wear your red this month!

RED PUNCH

Valentine Punch
*(can be served cold or hot )
1 quart cranberry juice
1 quart apple juice or pineapple juice
2 cups orange juice
3 tbs sugar
2 sticks cinnamon
10 whole cloves
combine juices and sugar. Tie spices in cotton bag, add to juices.  Heat very slowly(do not boil) about one hour.  Remove spice bag and serve.  If punch is to be served cold omit spices and serve.  Makes about 20 servings


Rosy Valentine Punch
1 package strawberry soft drink powder
½ cup sugar
3 cups water 2 cups cranberry juice cocktail
red food coloring
ice block
dissolve soft drink powder and sugar in water ;add cranberry juice.  Tint as red as desired with food coloring.  Chill. At serving time, pour over ice in punch bowl.  YIELD 12 punch cup servings.

Pink Party Punch
2 packages raspberry or strawberry soft drink powder
2 cups sugar 6 cups cold water 2 tall bottles lemon-lime carbonated beverage or ginger ale.
Dissolve soft drink powder and sugar in water; chill. At serving time pour over ice. Slowly add chilled lemon-lime soda
YEILD 30 (4 oz) punch cup servings
Red Hot Punch

1/2 cup Cinnamon "red hot" candies
1 cup water
2 qts vanilla ice cream
3 pints apple juice
2 qts milk
simmer cinnamon red hots and water until candies are dissolved. Cool. Break up 1 1/2 qts ice cream in punch bowl. Stir in apple juice and milk. Add enough of the cooled candy syrup to give the flavor desired. Float chunks of the remaining ice cream on top of punch.
YIELDS; 1 gallon

Lavender Lady

1 qt of grape juice chilled
2 pints heavy cream
whipped cream
nutmeg

with electric mixer blend grape juice and cream, pour over large ice block in punch bowl. Top each serving with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of nutmeg

I made the pink party punch for my granddaughters 8th birthday, it was a big hit with the kids but tastes alot like Hawaiian Punch, wished I would have tried the lavender punch instead. Next time will make 2 one for kids and one for grownups.
