Cocktails taste better in chilled glasses. Chill yours in the refrigerator if you can. For large partys you can rent glasses from your local rental company.
The 4 basic party glasses, and what to pour in them:
#1.THE TALL GLASS; pour Highballs, Tonics, Screwdrivers, Collins and Rickeys
the Highball: make it with just about anything you like, Ginger ale, 7-UP or your favorite carbonated beverage. A jigger of Smirnoff over ice cubes, add mixer, and a twist of lemon peel.
#2.THE SHORT GLASS; pour Old Fashioneds, any liquor or any cocktail, on the rocks and Gimlets
on the rocks: Pour a jigger of Smirnoff over ice, add twist of lime or lemon
#3. THE LARGE OVAL STEM GLASS; Bloody Marys, Flips, Egg Nogs, Sours, Alexanders
the Bloody Mary: Jigger of Smirnoff, 3 ox of heavy tomato juice, 1/2 oz lemon juice, 4 drops A-1 sauce, dash of salt, dash of pepper. shake well with cracked ice strain and pour
#4. THE SMALL WIDE STEM GLASS; Martinis, Stingers, Manhattans, Daiquiris, Side Cars
the Martini: 4 parts Smirnoff, 1 part Dry Vermouth, stir well with ice. Strain into chilled galss or over ice. Garnish with lemon peel.

hi dear. i dont think many people know exactly which glass is meant for what kind of punch/ drink.
