Here's a variation of the clockwatchers special, which is featured at some clubs. At cocktail time, beginning at 4pm and ending at 7:30pm the cost of the drinks is determined by the customers time of arrival or time of order of first drink. If the customer, for example orders a drink at 4:45 the cost of the drink is 44 cents...isnt that charming and so ...50's
Here are a few yummy drinks that came with the article...
EARLY GLOW
1 1/2 ounce bourbon
1/2 ounce peach liqueur
1/4 ounce grenadine
juice of 1/2 lime
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
Combine ingredients in blender with scoop of shaved ice, strain into 4 ounce champagne glass.
COOLER
1 ounce bourbon
3/4 ounce peppermint schnapps
juice of 1/2 lime
1 ounce lemon juice
2 tsps sugar
fill 10 ounce Collins glass with a crushed ice, add ingredients fill with soda water stir garnish with orange slice,cherry serve with straws
THE MELODY
1 ounce bourbon
1/2 ounce creme de banana
1/2 ounce triple sec
1 ounce cream
add ingredients, in order into blender over crused ice. blend well and strain into 4 ounce champagne glass

For the record my dad the Chef also managed the Officers Club when he was in the Air Force..but I don't think I ever saw him take a drink. Maybe a cup of punch or two at my sisters wedding but always a professional when on the job!
