AUTUMN COLORS AND FRAGRANCE

Now that we are in full swing with the Fall Festivities, here is a colorful and fragrant punch to add...Cold or Hot!

CRANBERRY PUNCH
2/3 cups surgar
6" cinnamon stick(broken in pieces)
2 teaspoon whole allspice
1-2 tsp whole cloves
1/4 tsp salt
1 qt cranberry juice coktail
1 no.2 can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 pint chilled gingerale
1 orange sliced thin
combine sugar, spices, salt, cranberry juice and pineapple juice. Cover simmer gently 10 minutes. Strain, chill. Just before serving pour over ice in punch bowl. Float orange slices atop.

HOT CRANBERRY PUNCH
to serve warm, just omit gingerale and add 2 cups water to juice mixture before heating, simmer  and strain. Pour into mugs and dot with butter.

Every time I have the opportunity to take a run around the blogs, I visit yours, and find some amazing recipe.

This time, you've surprised me. Salt? :)

It actually surprised me too, however I do remember a recipe for frosting that had salt in it and it was very good!
