HERE'S A PUNCH FOR YOUR BRUNCH

from GAY GOURMET circa early1960s Also occuring when this recipes was published was the release of Miracle Worker starring Patty Duke and Ann Brancroft a movie I saw when I was a child.
A late morning weekend meal calls for a pick-me-up to get things off to a good start. Next time there's a brunch at your home follow the lead of a seasoned gourmet to set the tone for a gay repast.
STRAWBERRY CHAMPAGNE PUNCH
1 quart fresh strawberries
1 bottle California chablis
1 bottle champagne
1 pint club soda
sugar
lemon juice
ice block


wash and hull 1 quart of fresh strawberries, put in large punch bowl and sprinkle with sugar lightly. Add a few drops lemon juice and half a bottle of California chablis. Let stand for about 3 hours. when ready to serve, put an ice block in middle of punch bowl, add remaining chablis, a bottle of Champagne and a pint of club soda(well chilled)
Yields 19 servings

Thank you, they are my Dads, he was a chef and compiled a collection of punch recipes that I in turn inherited and am publishing for him. I am happy that you are enjoying them.
