For entertaining on a budget nothing we think, equals the dessert party. This is the simple device of inviting guests for the afternoon or evening, and beginning the party with a delicious dessert.  Naturally, guest have been cautioned to omit this course in their lunch or dinner at home! Made at home ice cream  sodas like the wonderful raspberry creation below are ideal served along with a big glamourous angel cake so easy to make with a mix. If you don't have parfait glasses, serve your sodas in iced tea glasses.
And do you know that one scoop of ice cream contains all the food values , protein, calcium, and B vitamin as a half a cup of milk?

1 16 oz bag of frozen raspberrys or fresh in season.
1 pint of vanilla ice cream
1 quart club soda, plain or raspberry flavored.
spoon 1 scoop ice cream, followed by 1/4 cup raspberries, and continuing layering until glass is almost full, slowly add soda. serve with ice tea spoon.

1 container of whipped topped
1 angel food cake (premade)
1 can raspberry Fruit Float
raspberries or maraschino cherries
line a 9 inch loaf pan with foil. Tear cake into pieces of varying size. In  large mixing bowl, fold fruit float into whipped topping, then fold in cake pieces. Turn into loaf with remaining piece of cake. Chill until set well.
