GET YOUR GREEN ON

Get ready for St Paddys Day.
I'm a little disappointed, I knew I had seen several St. Patricks Days Punch recipes in the collection, but when I got them out, they were all the same recipe, posted by Dorothy Dean probably every year. I was able to dig up a few more that are green. So here you go.
Lime Fizz
1 envelope presweetened lime instant soft drink mix
2 quarts gingerale(chilled)
1 (3 oz) pkg of lime flavored gelatin
1 lime, sliced
maraschino cherries
In large pitcher prepare lime soft drink mix according to pkg directions substituting gingerale for water. Empty gelatin onto wax paper. Moisten rims of glasses; dip into dry gelatin to form frosted edge.  Pour lime Fizz over ice; garnish with lime slice and maraschino cherry.



St Patricks punch
2 packages of lime gelatin
2 cups boiling water
2 6-ounce cans of frozen lemonade concentrate
1 quart cold water
2 cups pineapple juice
2 tall bottles gingerale (chilled)
Dissolve geltatin in boiling water. Stir in lemonade concentrate,cold water and pineapple juice,blend well, do not refrigerate.  Just before serving pour over ice in punch bowl. Slowly add gingerale.
YIELDS; 40 1 cup servings


Sparkling Green Punch
3 packages of lime soft drink powder
3 cups sugar
9 cups cold water
3 tall bottles gingerale or lemon-lime carbonated beverage (chilled)mix sugar and lime drink powder, pour in water, dissolve sugar and powder, pour over ice in punch bowl,just before serving slowly add chilled gingerale 


Sweet Sixteen Punch(St Paddys version)
1pint  lime sherbet
2 quart gingerale
lime slices
cherries with stems
place sherbet in punch bowl. Add ginger ale. Float lime slices in bowl and serve with one cherry in each cup.
